Conditions Treated

Conditions Treated by Our Harrisburg Chiropractor

Skocik Chiropractic treats a wider range of ailments than you might have thought possible. Our Harrisburg chiropractor can help you with:

Conditions Treated

Back Pain

Back pain may be associated with an acute injury, a degenerative spinal issue, or even a lifetime of poor posture. Chiropractic adjustments can correct vertebral alignment problems that contribute to muscle strain, joint pain, and pinched nerves. We can also administer massage therapy and other treatments to relieve muscle pain.

Neck Pain

Neck pain can be caused by whiplash, osteoarthritis, an unbalanced upper cervical alignment, or occupational strain injuries such as "text neck." We can evaluate the source of your neck pain, prescribing chiropractic care and soft tissue therapies to help you overcome it.

This painful inflammation of the sciatic nerve often occurs when bulging or herniated discs press against the nerve's roots, causing leg pain, tingling, and numbness. Spinal decompression therapy can gently guide the offending discs back to their normal position, relieving pressure on the sciatic nerve tissue.

Workers Compensation Injuries

When you're injured on the job, you need to heal up so you can get back to earning a living -- and many workers compensation plans include chiropractic care. Our Harrisburg chiropractor is happy to take your worker's compensation case.

Sports Injuries

Sports injuries range from acute neck or back trauma to longstanding overuse injuries such as tennis elbow or runner's knee. We can evaluate your injury carefully, prescribing a personalized rehabilitation plan to help you heal from that nagging injury and avoid future such incidents.

Auto Injuries

Auto injuries often involve multiple parts of the body, from the neck (whiplash) to the lower back (sciatica), as tremendous forces push these parts beyond their capacities. Our Harrisburg chiropractor can diagnose even those "lurking" injuries that have yet to produce symptoms, then administer the appropriate mix of natural healing techniques.

Fibromyalgia is a state of heightened sensitivity to pain signals, leaving sufferers to cope with everything from headaches and insomnia to irritable bowel syndrome. Our chiropractic and massage techniques can help reduce the amount of pain you have to contend with.

Neuropathy (nerve pain and other odd symptoms) may be related to spinal misalignments, injuries or even nutritional deficiencies. Chiropractic care, nutritional counseling and spinal decompression can resolve or at least control many cases of neuropathy.

Headaches and Migraines

Headaches usually originate with muscle tension and spasms near the base of the skull, while that same tension and stress are among many known migraine triggers. Cervical adjustments, massage, and other techniques can relieve your chronic tension. We can also recommend nutritional changes and other strategies to help you sidestep common migraines triggers.
